The Country Areas Program (CAP) is administered as part of the Australian Government funding provided through the Rural and Regional Assistance for the 2009 – 2012 quadrennium.

CAP is managed for NSW Public Schools and the agreed Catholic Dioceses of Armidale, Bathurst, Canberra-Goulburn and Wagga Wagga by the New South Wales Department of Education and Training (DET).
